Welcome to Sumibako ("we", "our", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our note & document management platform at sumibako.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Sumibako. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for providing accurate information during registration and for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Plans & Subscriptions
Sumibako offers the following plans:
- Free: Every feature, with usage limits.
- Pro: $4 / month (or $39 / year) - every feature, with higher limits, including unlimited notes and published pages.
Payments are processed by our payment provider (for example, Dodo Payments). Subscriptions are recurring and will continue until cancelled. By subscribing you authorize recurring billing.
4. Cancellation & Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future billing but does not automatically entitle you to a refund - see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for details. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service for unlawful activities, to upload malware, to infringe the rights of others, or to send spam. You also agree not to use published pages or the API to host content for other people at scale, or to get around plan limits or rate limits. We may remove content or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
6. Published Pages
Pages are private until you publish them. A published page can be read by anyone who has its link. You are responsible for what you publish, and you must have the right to share it. Anyone can report a published page, and we may unpublish a page that breaks these Terms. Unpublishing a page does not remove copies that other people have already saved.
7. Coding Agents and Connected Apps
You can let coding agents and other apps use your account, either with an API token you create or by approving a connection from an app such as Claude.ai or ChatGPT. Anything they do with that access is activity under your account (see section 2). Keep your tokens secret. You can revoke a token or a connection in Settings at any time. A connected app can publish only the pages it wrote itself. We limit how often this access can be used, and we may revoke a token or connection that is abused or that puts the Service at risk. Those apps are provided by other companies under their own terms, and we are not responsible for what they do with information you give them.
8. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in Sumibako (excluding your content) belong to us or our licensors. You retain ownership of the notes and documents you create.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided as is. We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sumibako will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. If you operate from another jurisdiction, this choice of law does not prevent you from exercising local legal rights.
12. Contact
