# Sumibako > Sumibako is a fast, offline-first notes app that coding agents can write into. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Claude.ai and ChatGPT file a page into your notes and hand back a link you can share. - An agent connects in one of three ways: the command line (npx sumibako), the agent skill (npx skills add sumibako/agents -g -y), or the MCP server at https://sumibako.com/api/mcp. - An agent can write, edit, read, search and publish pages. It cannot delete a page or make any page visible to a search engine. An app connected by signing in (Claude, ChatGPT) can publish only pages it created; a command-line token can publish any page unless it was made without the publish permission. - A published page is a public link that needs no account to read. It is not listed by search engines unless its owner turns that on, per page. - The free plan holds 1,000 notes, 1,000 published pages and 500MB of files. Pro is $4 a month. - Every feature is on the free plan. The plans differ only in their limits. ## For agents - [The agent skill](https://sumibako.com/skill.md): Instructions an agent follows to file, edit, search and publish pages from a shell. Fetch it in full. - [Connect a coding agent](https://sumibako.com/agents): The guide to the command line, the MCP tools and the REST API, with every limit. ## Guides - [Connect Sumibako to Claude](https://sumibako.com/claude): Let Claude write pages into your notes and hand you a link, without a terminal. Add one address as a custom connector, approve it once, and ask it to save things. - [Connect Sumibako to ChatGPT](https://sumibako.com/chatgpt): Let ChatGPT write pages into your notes and hand you a link, without a terminal. Add one address as a custom plugin, sign in once, and ask it to save things. - [Import from Notion](https://sumibako.com/import/notion): What arrives from a Notion export and what does not. - [Pricing](https://sumibako.com/pricing): What each plan holds, read from the same numbers the app enforces. ## Blog - [Why is Notion so slow? What Notion's own engineers say](https://sumibako.com/blog/why-is-notion-so-slow): Why Notion is slow, in its own engineers' words: blocks, one shared database, a late cache and your own databases, and what to do without leaving. - [Claude says the conversation is too long. How to carry on without losing it](https://sumibako.com/blog/claude-conversation-too-long): What Claude's length limit is, what automatic context management changed, and a handoff note template so a new chat carries on where the old one stopped. - [Is there a web version of Obsidian? No, and five ways around it](https://sumibako.com/blog/is-there-a-web-version-of-obsidian): Obsidian has no web version. Five ways to reach a vault from a browser anyway, from GitHub's free editor to the real app on a server, and what each costs. - [Notion alternatives without AI, and whether you can turn Notion's off](https://sumibako.com/blog/notion-alternatives-without-ai): Whether Notion AI can be switched off, and on which plans. Then ten notes apps checked for AI on their own sites, from none at all to off until you say so. - [Notion vs Obsidian for Claude: it depends which Claude](https://sumibako.com/blog/notion-vs-obsidian-for-claude): Obsidian wins for Claude Code, Notion wins for Claude in a browser or on a phone. Speed limits, undo and public links compared, from each one's own docs. - [A second brain for Claude, without the forty-step setup](https://sumibako.com/blog/second-brain-for-claude): What Karpathy's LLM wiki really is, what Claude already remembers on its own, and the smallest second brain that works: three files and one paragraph. - [Let your coding agent keep your brag document](https://sumibako.com/blog/let-your-coding-agent-keep-your-brag-document): Your coding agent saw everything you shipped. Five questions to ask before you press Allow. - [What actually survives a Notion export](https://sumibako.com/blog/what-survives-a-notion-export): What a Notion export really contains: the writing and the page tree come out well, a database leaves as one frozen view, and comments only survive as HTML. - [Connect Claude.ai to your notes with a custom connector](https://sumibako.com/blog/connect-claude-ai-to-your-notes): Add one address in Claude.ai's connector settings, sign in, and Claude can write into your notes, search them, and hand you a link.
